Stabilized phase locked oscillator (PLO) series PLOxKx

This is a series of compact economic PLL stabilized PLOs relative to internal and/or external reference oscillator. The PLOs are based on digital PLL architecture  with the feedback controlled oscillator frequency conversion to reduce the frequency-phase detector noise. An additional signal for the conversion is obtained by multiplying the built-in high-frequency quartz VCO frequency PLL stabilized from the 100 MHz external or built-in thermocompensated quartz oscillator. Output signal generation in the range of 6 ... 32 GHz is provided by multiplying the frequency of the controlled oscillator.

Additional PLOs series with reduced consumption are developed if extremely low phase noise is not required.

The PLOxKx series were developed in order to replace similar american Herley, CTI and Abracon products. PLOxKx modules have 10-30% greater power consumption but are superior in terms of noise.

At the same time they are cost competitive.

Generator description.

PLOxKx- is a series of compact economic PLL stabilized PLOs relative to internal and/or external reference oscillator. The series includes two types  of oscillators: low noise PLOxKx-LN and low-consumption PLOxKx-LP.

Low noise PLOs are based on digital PLL architecture  with the feedback controlled oscillator frequency conversion in order to reduce the frequency-phase detector noise. An additional signal for the conversion is obtained by multiplying the built-in high-frequency quartz VCO frequency PLL stabilized from the 100 MHz external or built-in thermocompensated quartz oscillator. Output signal generation in the range of 6 ... 32 GHz is provided by multiplying the frequency of the controlled oscillator.

Economic PLOxKx-LP uses direct signal generation up to 15 GHz with digital PLL and frequency multiplication up to 32 GHz.

Oscillator's powering and monitoring is carried out through the pass filters.
